Last week was SO crazy - I taught an origami class as part of my school's summer program and it ended up taking much more time and energy than anticipated! My poor blog has been so neglected... *sigh*
I was able to squeeze in a few moments of crafting before collapsing into bed each night, so I actually have some finished-up projects to show.
My Sullivan Street Bolero turned out nicely, although I did change one part. Instead of picking up stitches around the armholes and outer edge to knit a border, I simply added a couple of rows of single crochet to tidy it up (anything to avoid picking up stitches, my least favorite knitting activity).
I also finished up my little granny square afghan.
And I started a new embroidery project.
And I found out that the kitten chews books. And bookmarks!

Please ignore my hideous rental unit carpet. Thank you. : )
Crocheting this while watching Netflix tonight - oh yes, I started it a long time ago and it's still not finished!
Stumbled upon some free back issues of Dwell today, what luck!

Well, one project is finished...
I even recycled an old belt loop for a hanger! Some might think it's strange, but I think it's clever : )
I also reused a chunk of cardboard for the backing and pages from a charity sale book. This piece may make it into my shop, but I don't have time just yet!

Not much progress has been made on the artsy/craftsy front this week! I've been busy organizing/packing my classroom for the summer months so that it can cleaned and the carpets shampooed. Now I'm on summer break and gearing up to teach a couple of fun summer classes - with plenty of time set aside for sleeping in, knitting, and crocheting... perfect!
